MISSION Dynia Architects was founded in 1993 with a clear mission - to elevate all aspects of the built environment to exceptional experiences through a process of rigorous design exploration that choreographs site and program into the making of meaningful architecture. We approach each project as an opportunity to create buildings and spaces inspired by nature, fueled by innovation, and engaged in the culture of place. Our inventive, modern designs connect interior space with landscape and our dynamic public spaces connect buildings with community. CULTURE Dynia Architects is a design firm of 12 professionals with offices in Jackson Hole, WY and Denver, CO. Our portfolio of award winning work includes custom private residences, workforce and multi-unit housing developments, mixed use commercial and institutional projects, site planning, and interior design. Our design philosophy and innovative approach to the work has attracted talented and inspired individuals that are at the core of the quality of our work. The firm is led by Stephen Dynia, FAIA along with Karen Parent, AIA, Doug Staker, AIA, and Lisa Carranza, AIA; directors and principals that have been with the firm from early in its history. Each member of the firm understands that successful work starts with extensive design exploration and follows through with precise technical execution and administrative attention. A collaborative approach across the two offices, within a disciplined process, encourages contributions from all - from concept to completion - in a horizontal structure that aims to produce work that exceeds the expectations of our clients and the communities in which we work. And while our largest contribution to our communities is through our design work, we also encourage a firm culture where individuals are supported in their efforts to volunteer in local schools and on professional, civic, and non-profit boards.
